Carolina Memorial Sanctuary (CMS) is a one-of-a-kind green burial ground dedicated to preserving, protecting and renewing the land. Conserving Carolina has partnered with CMS to protect and steward their land for future generations to enjoy. This workday will be focused on controlling non-native and native invasive plants near a recently completed wetland restoration. We will hand-pull and cut species such as privet, multiflora rose, autumn olive, and blackberry around the wetland restoration to promote a native grassland meadow habitat.

Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring lunch and plenty of water. Necessary tools and gloves will be provided. Plant ID will be taught on site.
