SUMMARY:Writing with Nature
DESCRIPTION:Come join Dr. Mattie Decker for Writing with Nature! This includes an experience of Shinrin Yoku\, known as “Forest Bathing” with Mattie Decker\, ANFT certified guide and mindfulness teacher. We gather in a circle\, with mindfulness meditation before embarking into the forest to “find our spot”\, our tree\, or place we are drawn to sit and write. Afterward there are refreshments shared\, as we tell about our experiences\, often reading what we’ve written. Participants are also encouraged to bring writing they are working on\, or journals to continue projects they are midst. There are always surprises\, and amazement in how the medicine of the forest provides us what is uniquely needed for each of us. For new writers\, or those who are writers\, this experience offers a dimension of awakening to the deep relationship we each have in Nature. \nLocation: Laughing Waters Retreat\, HWY 74A at Gerton.
