DESCRIPTION:Date: January 18\, 2025 \nTime: 10:30 a.m. \nLocation: Anne Elizabeth Suratt Nature Center at Walnut Creek Preserve \nSpeaker: Liz Hillard\, Wildlands Network’s senior wildlife biologist for the Appalachian region \nThis presentation will highlight the importance of habitat connectivity in Western North Carolina/the Southern Appalachians\, highlighting local efforts to provide wildlife safe passage across our roadways\, and discuss the challenges (and opportunities) in building back better\, with wildlife in mind\, after Hurricane Helene. \nLiz Hillard is Wildlands Network’s senior wildlife biologist for the Appalachian region and based in Asheville.
