Ford Smith

Shuford “Ford” Smith has an MA in ED and served as a psychologist for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System assisting with desegregation during the 1970s. On the ecological side, he spent over ten years full-time tent-camping public lands of the US and Canada while photographing and writing about the continuing impact of European settlers. Ford served on the Boards of the Pacolet Area Conservancy and Conserving Carolina from 2011 until 2021. He is currently a member of the CC Education Committee and is part of the SouthEast Volunteer Task Force. For several years, he has been an active volunteer with the Kudzu Warriors.
